A bunch of skiing and biking photos and videos from the end of ski season.

We went bowling with our friend Christina and her kids Ben and Jace and their friend.

Henry curling bonspiel in Canmore

Full size
Henry got to curl in a bonspiel in Canmore with his friends Lyndon and Martin, along with
his new curling friend Jack. Here's Henry throwing.

Full size
They did quite well in the bonspiel having all close games, and they wound up winning all of them
in the last shot. It was good having Martin be the skip as he had the most experience of the four.

Team Awesome had a strong showing.

Full size
The boys with their medals. In spite of winning all three games, one other team in their
draw had more points and so wound up with the gold.

Full size
I took the boys for a ski outing without Natalia and they had fun with far fewer people than usual.

Full size
They did find the culvert/underpass (even though there was no snow in it - they still love doing it!)

Full size
The boys got to ski the new glades which they LOVED! We're calling these the 'Demon Glades'.

Full size
And they skied the old glades too, which was Walter's first time. These are the 'Monster Glades'.

Full size
There were really not a lot of other skiers here on this day. This is on Walter's new favourite run,
Mighty Peace

Full size
Walter and Henry making a Tic Tac Toe board with their skis. Good thing we have a good ski tech!

Walter's first ski trip to Sunshine Village

Full size
Since Walter had never skied at Sunshine, we bit the bullet on a $500 day, and made it happen.
It also snowed 25cm overnight, which made it pretty special. We won't talk about the idiot in the
18-wheeler who caused a 30 minute traffic jam at the Banff park gate, but we got a parking spot!

Full size
Walter thought it was cool too.

Full size
They skied hard!

Full size
Walter loved skiing on Wolverine chair, and here he is jumping into the fluffy snow and needing
help to get back up.

Full size
John skiing the Southwest Chutes.

Full size
Not bad snow in here - a bit skied out, but still fun.

Full size
Looking up at the South West Chutes at Sunshine. Thanks to John for the photo.

Full size
The boys crashing in the snow before driving home. We had dinner at the Georgetown Inn, since
the boys quite like their 'welsh rabbit', or grilled cheese.

Full size
The next day, we went out sledding since we really hadn't done much sledding all season. Here
Coach Ryan managed to snap a toboggan in half.

Full size
Happy boys on sleds. This felt like the only time we sledded this year. Crazy.

Full size
Walter likes sundaes like his Dad does.

Full size
Henry tried to get his brother on April Fool's. I'll have to work with him on his execution
but I love the idea.

Full size
Walter was SUPER excited to make his slime-powered noise generator, or fart machine.

Full size
Handfuls of slime.

Full size
The horn makes the fart sounds even better.

Fart Machine!

Full size
Walter thinks creepers are funny.

Full size
I took the boys to see the Minecraft Movie and we biked there and back and saw this little lady.

Full size
7 vehicles at the Bean in April!

Full size
Walter is now capable of riding all of the Bean without help. Sometimes he walks his bike, but he
doesn't have a need for the Tow-whee anymore.

Fun Paul photos

Out for a ski tour with John

Full size
We had initially targeting a ski summit of Smutwood Peak, but with pretty unstable conditions, we elected
to go for a tour into Commonwealth Valley instead.

Full size
This is Super Slope and it had its fair share of slides already, along with a big one waiting.

Full size
Full width view of the back of Commonwealth Valley showing lots of activity. John and I have
previously skied the right side area, which has a sweet plateau and a neat basin to ski in. We wound
up on this day simply skiing the left side low angle snow and keeping it real.

Full size
John and his buddy Colin as we rip skins and go for a ski down. The headwall behind them kept shedding
snow pretty much all day in the sun, and some of them came down with force.
