We were invited to spend New Year's with some of our favourite people - the Campbells!
They took us for a skating outing first at the Okotoks Lions' Campground where there is a
sweet ice track around the area.

The boys found a games room underneath one of the buildings in our complex. We stayed at the Aspen
Lodge of the Timberline properties (unit 330 for reference via VRBO) and this was in the basement
of the Spruce building. It's definitely a little tired, but you could see it has been well-used.

The boys are always excited to zip through the trees. The 'Minute Maid' Kids' Fun Zone ensures they
have little animals and mascots to chase through the trees.

Out for a tour of Taylor Lake

My buddy Simon and I went for another look at the Bell Couloir. One of these days we'll have the
right conditions to actually ski it, but today it turned into a walk in the forest and some fun
powder turns too.

The headwall is the challenge on this tour as it's always a bit of work to find a track through this
section. I smashed my way through it though and it worked out fine.
