I had the great opportunity to go cat skiing with friends at Great Northern near Revelstoke
Here are some photos and video from some steep and deep powder.

For a warm-up, we had a day at Revelstoke with some pretty nice snow. Here are the boys taking a
short hike along Lemming Line for a drop into North Bowl.

Since there was lots of good snow but it was mostly skied off, we elected to take a short hike up to the
top of North Bowl for a different look. Here's Jim, who chased me the whole way up this boot pack.

Jim and I hung out at the top for awhile while Kevin and Luca made the trip up as well.

This was the first photo I took at the lodge, as it made me laugh out loud. I carefully checked out the skis
at the entrance, and was pleased to see no boards. :)

The boys coming out of the cat as we get ready for our first run. We did some beacon work before we were allowed
to ski with the group. The cat seats 15 guests plus two guides and a cat-driver, so it's a big party.

A very happy Kevin, as he enjoys shredding the gnar. They set everyone up with a radio, avalanche gear, and
a backpack.

Kevin wound up finding the snow a bit deep here as he digs himself out of the snow. Tail guide Ross helps
him up here.

Luca fell over in the snow here on the way down through the burn, which dates back to 2003.

On day 2, we had ~70 cm come down overnight making the avalanche conditions some of the worst I've seen. Here
you can see ~25 degree slopes cracking and sliding, so we elected to go home for the day. It's never an easy
decision to call off a ski day, but the guides were right to do so.

Kevin and I were going to join Mike and Rob for a last look at trying to find good snow, but it wasn't to be.
