Some photos and videos from hanging out in Cochrane in Sept/Oct 2018.

My mom came to help us out after my surgery and here she took Henry to Walmart. He decided he wanted to
flip through this book, but then put it back on the shelf.
Full size
He totally took Grandma G for a ride and she let him ride the Donald truck at Walmart.

This is an excellent depiction of our little Walter. Just absolutely thrilled to be alive.
Full size
And here's Henry completely on top of him and Walter's just giggling away.

Henry absolutely loves it when it snows. September was pretty snowy so he was a happy boy.

Early snowfall, like first week of September in Cochrane.

A tour in Canmore with Maria
Full size
Since I wanted to meet Ben G and show him my panorama, we took a tour to Canmore to see Maria too.
Here we are playing at a park after a terrific brunch in town.

It turns out that Henry really loves the old blue crayon costume and is wearing it this year for Hallowe'en.
Here is a photo that Natalia put together of Henry and I in the same costume.

Henry and Walter at the zoo - I wasn't thrilled about taking crutches, but sometimes you have to suck it up.
It's a lot better than a wheelchair.
Full size
Henry and Walter love playing with stickers in the morning - here's Henry putting stickers on his hand.
Full size
Walter also loves playing with my oscilloscope. He's not quite strong enough to turn the power on yet though.

Henry and I went to see the defending Cup champs the Capitals play in Calgary for a matinee.
Henry's often more interested in the treats and the train ride, and this trip was no exception.
Full size
Henry was interested in the game in the first period and most of the second.
Full size
We were standing in line for an ice cream, had almost got to the front of the line, and then Henry saw
the double Zambonis and he HAD to have a closer look.
Full size
But don't worry, he did get his ice cream.
Full size
Because it was a matinee, lots of people brought their kids, meaning that by the third period, our row
was almost empty, which was fine for Henry since it meant he could play with sprung seats. He was pretty
done with the game by this point, but stayed through OT and a shoot-out (albeit while watching a movie).
Full size
We got invited to the Water Valley Hallowe'en party and the boys dressed up as crayons together.
Full size
They had a SUPER well-organized event with crafts and games and treats for the kids. Here is Henry making
a pumpkin craft.
Full size
The 'crayon brothers' actually won a costume award at this event.
Full size
I didn't quite catch this, but thought the cut-out was sweet.

After the Hallowe'en party, we went to Ty's farm to play. Henry LOVES seeing their tractors and toys.
Ty's dad Mike showed the boys how the tractor works and they were fascinated.

And then destroying a long john at Timmy's.

Working out of Banff
Full size
We had a full winter storm come through and drop over a foot of snow on the region. I was at a conference
in Banff which the year before meant some casual rock climbing. Not this year.
Full size
Not a terrible view from the conference I'd say.

Beautiful clear morning in October in Banff from the Rimrock.

Very cool event at an event center in Banff - full campfire in the middle of the building and open roof.
